Rental Payments
You define how and when you are paid.
Renters pay you directly by one of the methods you accept.
This could be by credit card, check, money order or cashier’s check.
Please be aware of fake money order/cashier’s check
scams, and do not give renters money back if they overpay you. We strongly caution you against
refunding in cash any money order or cashier’s check you receive—particularly
from overseas.
If you have the ability to accept credit cards via
your own merchant account, we will direct renters to the shopping cart on your
website or to your PayPal account so they can make payment directly to you.
You will receive payment in your Paypal or other merchant account, and we charge NO fee
for this transaction.
If you opt to receive a payment by check or money order,
we will provide your mailing address, email and phone number to the renter in
an email. You will receive a confirmation email for each booking we take on your
behalf, so you know that you should expect a payment. It will include contact information
for the renter. You may track rent payments for each booking.
You define the timing of rental payments: how much
is due at the time of booking, when
the balance is due, and when any other payments (such as a damage deposit) are due.
When you receive a payment that we cannot know
about (such as a check, credit card payment or money order paid outside of our system),
you will need to update our system to let us know you have been paid.
Booking Universe does not collect any rental or
deposit payments from renters.
